We are a family of 3 (and a dog) soon to be 4! Mum is Korean and dad is Malaysian. We have a sweet little girl who has just turned 2, and another baby girl due really soon! We live in a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, modern east meets west styled two storey house (tropical modern) in the Bayswater area. You will be part of a loving family, and be able to enjoy the resort style facilities of a comfortably furnished home.
Mum will have birth by caesarian operation and is expected to take at least 4 to 6 weeks to heal and resume normal activities so we are seeking a live in au pair to help her as she recovers, help to engage and play with our 2 year old daughter (which will be a full time task during this time of COID-19 confinement), and an extra pair of hands to help with the new born baby (changing, feeding, bathing, putting to sleep).
We are looking for someone who genuinely loves to spend time with children to engage our 2 year old daughter with entertainment and educational play activities. She is an energetic and curiously fun girl who LOVES to read books, singing nursery rhymes and dancing. She loves water play and exploring outdoors too. She is delightful! You will have fun with her. Keep up if you can.
As mum will not be able to move very much post surgery, we are expecting that the au pair will assist us with light household duties and tasks.
You are welcome to join in our family meals with the option to cook your own if our meals are not suitable or if you have differing dietary needs. Meals and ingredients are provided. If you enjoy cooking and helping prepare meals for the little one, that will be a definite plus ! We have a spacious, well equipped kitchen suitable for the most creative chefs.
You will be provided with your own private room is equipped spacious with a queen bed, built in wardrobe, and you will have access to a shared (we currently have a working holiday German housemate with us) second bathroom/shower/toilet which is just off your bedroom.
In exchange, you will be expect to perform 5 days of work per week. We will provide you with $300 pocket money per week.
Now, a little about you. We are seeking and au pair in good health and with some working experience. Nursing and childcare qualifications and experience will be highly regarded. We prefer non smoker or drinker and you must not take any drugs. A recent medical certificate and police clearance would be desirable.
You must have the appropriate visa and duration for the term of your engagement, be able to start within a week or early April, be able to commit to a two month minimum term, have a valid driver’s license incase there is emergency trips to the doctor etc.
You will be asked to stay at home during the COVID-19 containment order period.
