IL FALCO is Mt Hawthorn’s go-to spot for next-level pizza, Italian dishes, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Our kitchen has just undergone a full renovation, and with an extended menu including pasta, mains, and sides, we’re looking to expand our team ahead of a busy summer.
We’re seeking a Casual Chef de Partie to help bring our refreshed menu to life, working closely with our Head Chef and kitchen team. This is a casual role (Wednesday–Sunday), but there’s potential for a full-time position for the right candidate. You’ll also benefit from career development opportunities within our expanding hospitality group — future roles won’t be limited to Italian cuisine or pizza-making, and there may be opportunities to work at our other venue too.
What you’ll be doing
Preparing and cooking dishes to standard under the guidance of the Head Chef.
Working on pizza and pasta stations, dough preparation, and plating.
Following recipes and portion controls to ensure quality and consistency.
Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.
Assisting with stock rotation, prep, and inventory as needed.
Supporting the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
What we’re looking for
Previous experience as a cook or chef de partie in a fast-paced kitchen.
A strong interest or experience in Italian cuisine and pizza-making.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to stay calm under pressure and follow instructions.
Commitment to maintaining a clean and organised work area.
