Cook
Key responsibilities
*Preparing hot meals
*Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
*Demonstrating techniques and knowledge of cooking procedures
*Preparing and cooking food to standard
*Upholding hygiene regulations
*Follow operational procedures
The successful applicant will have
*Chef/Cook qualifications - or similar ( not essential)
*Knife skills (filleting fish and ingredients) is preferred - not essential.
*Experience working in Japanese Restaurant - not essential but ideal.
*Strong work ethic, clean, organised and meticulous
*Ability to accept personal accountability and communicate clearly with team members
*Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen
*Passion for Japanese food and sushi.
*A customer focus

Sushi Chef
Key responsibilities
*Preparation of various types of sushi, including nigiri, sashimi; and filletting fish/meat.
*Monitoring quality and freshness of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
*Mastering knife techniques, filleting fish and thinly slicing ingredients
*Demonstrating techniques and knowledge of cooking procedures
*Upholding hygiene regulations
*Follow operational procedures
The successful applicant will have
*Chef/Cook qualifications - or similar (not essential)
*Experience with Sashimi preparation preffered (essential)
*Experienced working in Japanese Restaurant
*Strong work ethic, clean, organised and meticulous
*Ability to accept personal accountability and communicate clearly with team members
*Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, multitask effectively and manage time efficiently.
*Passion for Japanese food and sushi
*A customer focus
